15th-Oct-2006 03:19 pm - Hello folks
I'm still here - just very lazy at present. Thought I would write a very brief message to satisfy both livejournal and my friends.

Well that's all folks...
(I promise to update more soon)..

Hi all,

As you are aware I'm in Oz with the beautiful Betty. We have been here 5 days so far and already seen and done alot.
We arrived into Sydney at 5am and decided to have a shower at the airport (with no towels). Picked up the big campervan and headed slightly south towards the beach.
The next day we travelled to the Blue Mountains and saw some rocks, trees and water - very nice area. Got very wet here - infact in was snowing for a while.
The next day was lovely as the sun came out. We travelled around the mountains before heading north towards the Hunter Wine Valley. We stayed in a dodgy caravan site which should / could have been a trailer park in the mid northwest of america.
With the sun still shining, the next morning we went to the wine valley and tried our hand at wine tasting. I'm not good with wines.. I couldn't smell or taste any difference between the wines put in front of me, but I still drunk them all.
Went to Newcastle after this and got very wet in the evening - the beers made up for it.
Today we have been in a place called Forster - very nice here. The beach is lovely and we saw a few dolphins!!
Anyway better go...

9th-Apr-2006 06:26 pm - End of a good weekend
This has been a good relaxing weekend.

Saturday was spent watching rugby and the Grand National. Of course, I had a little flutter and was pleased when numbersixvalverde came in. Had 5 pounds to win at 11-1. Was getting concerned when the front 3 horses (number6valverde, hedgehunter and royal clan) were pulling away; I had a reverse forecast on hedgehunter and royal clan and was sure that number6valverde would come second ruining both my win bet and the forecast. May take Betty out for a nice meal soon with the winnings - its her birthday soon.

Got up early on Sunday morning to play golf with Betty and her dad. We went to this fancy driving range where you can play games where you scrore points for targets hit etc.. Quite cool instead of hitting a ball into a field with cows grazing.

Anyway the working week is approaching, so I better go ...

Who knows where all the moths have gone??
A dark smelly place in Exeter? Maybe...
16th-Feb-2006 11:45 am - Gay Cowboys
Just reading BBC News and stumbled across the following article:
Nelson releases gay cowboy song

The lyrics are great:

Cowboys are frequently secretly fond of each other, what did you think those saddles and boots was about? There's many a cowboy who don't understand the way that he feels towards his brother, inside every cowboy there's a lady who'd love to slip out

So maybe the Village People did have it right?
13th-Feb-2006 10:20 pm - Ice Skating BBC2
Me and Betty have been practicing our ice skating routine.. It needs a bit of polishing, but the double dip and lift is looking good. Only one biscuit got too soggy and fell.. Quickly saved and I don't think anyone noticed (except the Hob-Knob crumbs on Bettys chin)
Yes I'm the one in the pink...
